چکیده
ABSTRACT We estimate the solar peculiar velocities and Oort constants using a sample of 5627 A-type stars with $d\lt 0.6\, \rm kpc$ $|z|\lt 0.1\, kpc$, selected from LAMOST (Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope) surveys. The radial tangential these are fitted by non-axisymmetric model. best-fitting result yields $(U_\odot ,V_\odot ,W_\odot)=(11.69\pm 0.68, 10.16\pm 0.51, 7.67\pm 0.10)\, km\, s^{-1}$ $A=16.31\pm 0.89\, s^{-1}\, kpc^{-1}$, $B=-11.99\pm 0.79\, $C=-3.10\pm 0.48\, $K=-1.25\pm 1.04\, kpc^{-1}$. $|K+C|\gt 4\, kpc^{-1}$ means that there is velocity gradient in extended local disc, implying disc non-asymmetric potential. Using derived constants, we derive angular $\Omega \, {\approx }\, A-B=28.30\pm 1.19\, By star different volumes, further try to evaluate impacts ridge pattern R–Vϕ plane on constraining motions constants. As volume becomes larger towards anticentre direction, values A B become (implying steeper slope rotation curve) value V⊙ smaller probably caused structure its signal increasing distance.

Local stellar kinematics from Hipparcos data
From the parallaxes and proper motions of a kinematically unbiased subsample of the Hipparcos catalogue we have redetermined as a function of colour the kinematics of main-sequence stars. Whereas the radial and vertical components of the mean heliocentric velocity of stars show no trend with colour, the component in the direction of galactic rotation nicely follows the asymmetric drift relation...
متن کاملRefining the Oort and Galactic constants
The local stellar kinematics of the Milky Way offer a useful tool for studying the rotation curve of the Galaxy. These kinematics – usually parameterized by the Oort constants A and B – depend on the local gradient of the rotation curve as well as its absolute value (Θ0), and the Sun’s distance to the Galactic center (R0). The density of interstellar gas in the Milky Way is shown to vary non-mo...
متن کاملOrder and Chaos in the Local Disc Stellar Kinematics
The effects of the Galactic bar on the velocity distribution of old disc stars in the Solar neighbourhood are investigated using high-resolution 2D test particle simulations. A detailed orbital analysis reveals that the structure of the U − V distribution in these simulations is closely related to the phase-space extent of regular and chaotic orbits. At low angular momentum and for a sufficient...
متن کاملStars in other universes: stellar structure with different fundamental constants
Motivated by the possible existence of other universes, with possible variations in the laws of physics, this paper explores the parameter space of fundamental constants that allows for the existence of stars. To make this problem tractable, we develop a semi-analytical stellar structure model that allows for physical understanding of these stars with unconventional parameters, as well as a mea...
